'When It Comes Your Way’ is a folk-rock song about the end of a dysfunctional relationship. Built around a powerful chorus and heart-wrenching guitar solos, the song moves through laid-back verses which outline the struggle of the relationship before fermenting into the emotionally charged choruses, where the protagonist finally gets to ask some important questions.

The song was recorded at Hercules Street Studios in Surry Hills during late 2015 with Sean Carey (formerly of Thirsty Merc) taking the production helm. With Carey producing, July Morning molded ‘When It Comes Your Way’ into a psychedelic-tinged, edgy modern rock song, thereby pushing their music into territory the band has never charted before.
